About this event

Whether you are working proactively through your IPD, writing your Career Appraisal or other membership application or preparing for your Professional Review, you will need to write about your competence against the nine attributes of an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution.

This activity based workshop aims to help you in writing your development reports, Attribute Achievement Form or Review report. It suggests techniques to plan your document; focus your writing; and effectively edit and critique it to provide the best evidence from your experiences.

To get the most out of this workshop, you will need to bring with you:

  • A means of writing (eg laptop, tablet or A4 note pad and pen/pencil)
  • A good idea of your career objectives and more specific reason for attending the workshop
  • One or more of the following:
    • A partially written document (eg development report, attribute achievement form, draft Review report, CV)
    • An example of your work from a recent project or task (eg a drawing, photograph or report)

Refreshments and breakfast sandwiches will be provided, with the session starting promptly at 9am.
