About this workshop

If you are aspiring to become an Incorporated or Chartered Member, without accredited academic qualifications, this workshop will help you to understand how you can identify, describe and discuss the theory you have learnt and applied through your work experience.

It is suitable for delegates who are:

  • Eligible for IEng MICE, but seeking CEng MICE eligibility via Experiential Learning assessment
  • Seeking IEng MICE or CEng MICE through our Technical Report Route
  • Mentors for candidates working through those routes to membership

This session will discuss learning outcomes; help you identify the science, maths and design practice that underpins your work; and explore how you can eloquently discuss this in your written submission.

The workshop will be interactive and discussion based. To help you get the most out of it, you should bring with you:

  • Your current CV
  • Examples of your work from projects you think you would like to use for your application
  • The current version of any development reports or draft documents you are working on
  • A copy of the relevant guidance (Experiential Learning or Technical Report Route)
  • Your laptop, tablet or other means of writing!

Breakfast rolls will be provided – if you have any specific dietary requirements please note these in the special instructions box when booking. Please note the 8.30am breakfast and arrival time for an 8.45am start to the workshop.
