Venue address:

About this event

Are you an aspiring civil engineer who has recently enrolled on an ICE approved company training scheme, or a Mentor Supported Training programme? Or are you planning to proactively manage your Initial Professional Development? If so, join the ICE membership team to find out everything you need to know about getting started.

As a proactive trainee civil engineer, you will need to write about your competence against the nine attributes of an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution. This process is called Initial Professional Development (IPD).

This event aims to help you to understand what you need to do to manage your IPD. This includes writing your development reports, recording your Continued Professional Development (CPD) and making the most of learning opportunities available to you.

We will also be joined by Martin Findlay (Graduate & Student Committee representative) and other members of the ICE South West Graduate & Student committee who will talk to you about the events and support that are available to you in the West of England along with discussing how to apply to join the committee.
