About this workshop

This event is open to students and graduates who would like to use this programme to proactively manage their IPD and for people who are, or have an interest in, mentoring people through their Initial Professional Development.

Mentor-supported training helps engineers complete their initial professional development (IPD). The training is supervised by approved mentors and who support trainees through their IPD, helping them progress to the next step in the professional qualification process – the Professional Review.

Throughout the session we will discuss best practice in managing IPD. This includes writing regular development reports, Continued Professional Development (CPD) and making the most of learning opportunities available.

You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about your mentor supported programme and to network with other students, graduates and mentors.

For new mentors, attendance at this seminar completes the briefing required for appointment as an ICE approved IPD mentor for the programme.

Lunch will be provided.
