About this workshop

Mentor-supported training helps engineers complete their initial professional development (IPD). It’s aimed at graduate members who do not have a company led ICE Training Agreement.

Mentors are experienced colleagues, appointed by ICE, who support trainees through their IPD, and help them progress to the next step in the professional qualification process – the Professional Review.

This webinar is a guide to mentor-supported training for trainees and mentors. It explains the purpose of IPD, who the training is for and the aims of the programme. The webinar will take you through each aspect of the training, including:

  • Registering to use the Mentor-supported training and mentors
  • Recording progress in IPD Online
  • Monitoring, appraisals and training reviews
  • Transferring training
  • Roles and responsibilities

For further information please see Mentor Supported Training guidance.
