Do you work as a technician in civil engineering?
If so, then EngTech MICE is likely to be the professional qualification and membership grade for you.
This workshop is aimed at technicians who have work experience in the civil engineering industry, who are making a direct application for Technician Membership of the ICE and registration as Engineering Technician (EngTech MICE) via the Technician Professional Review (TPR).
Please note - we are running separate workshops for apprentices who will be sitting a Technician level End Point Assessment (EPA). If you are unsure which workshop would suit you best, please contact [email protected].
This workshop will cover the following topics:
- The Attributes required of an Engineering Technician
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- The application
- What to expect in the Technician Professional Review
This event is being shown online. Register to get access.
The first session will help you start to put your application together – a presentation on the submission documents, going in to detail on the EngTech Attributes and how best to demonstrate them in your application.
The second session will start with an opportunity to discuss how you have got on with writing your attribute evidence, then will move on to cover the appendices and CPD records. There will then be time to cover the Professional Review day itself – your interview and presentation, and tips for preparing for the day.
The third session will be a short 1-1 session with the Membership Development Officer to help provide feedback on the documentation you have produced so far.
