2018 will see the 200th anniversary of the ICE and we would like to get the celebrations started early!
In this lecture, engineering historian and the ICE's former director of engineering policy and innovation, Mike Chrimes, will give an overview of the development of the profession over the last 200 years, charting the successes of construction from the great engineering advances of Victorian times to modern day mega projects.
This event is free. Refreshments will be served from 6.00pm and the lecture will start at 6.30pm. The venue is a ten minute walk from Chelmsford railway station. Visitor's parking is available on campus from 4.30pm. Booking is not essential but helps us with planning.
