About this event

This light hearted talk will guide you around some of the U.K. geology and describe how there is a direct influence between the geology around a brewery and the beer produced. The brewing process is water intensive with most local brewers getting water from the local aquifer. The pH and mineralisation of the groundwater and its influence upon the taste and type of the beer will be explored.

During the talk, three types of beer from different strata and geological periods will be tasted

Due to the provision of beer for tasting, there will be a nominal charge of £5 for non-members at this event.
