About this event

The ICE Specification for Piling and Embedded Retaining Walls (SPERWall) is the UK's pre-eminent technical specification for piling and embedded walling works. This latest edition has been updated to reflect the latest techniques and procurement methods as well as revisions to the Eurocodes, British Standards and CIRIA guides.

It includes new sections on micropiling and helical piling as well as guidance on the use of polymer fluids for excavation support. This talk will cover the main changes from Edition 2, examine the various chapters and identify the aspects to be wary of when specifying or constructing the works.

Jim De Waele, of Keller, is the speaker.

ICE Wales Cymru Ground Engineering Group have organised this lecture.
