About this event

The "temporary" traffic signals at Pulpit Rock were a feature of the A82 trunk road for more than 30 years.

The recently completed A82 Pulpit Rock Improvement includes a 190m long new viaduct running parallel with Loch Lomond, widening of 200m of the existing carriageway to the north of the viaduct resulting in the introduction of a two-lane carriageway throughout, which has finally removed the need for the traffic signals.

The presentation, by Dominic Murphy, Transport Scotland Project Manager, and David Webster, AECOM will cover the entire project period from its beginnings in 2006, through route study, statutory process, procurement and construction including the challenges of working within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Registration and refreshments from 5.30pm for a 6.15pm start.
