About this event

The uncertainty we face as professionals in designing and providing the vital systems and services to society via long-lived infrastructure has perhaps never been so great as today. Given that we cannot predict the future loadings and societal needs with any confidence, what should we do?

Using examples from water and flood management the presentation will highlight some of the latest progress in using adaptation pathways to plan for and manage vital infrastructure. The changes required in our political, institutional and professional systems to deliver these new approaches will also be highlighted and opened up for discussion.
