Al Manfouha Wastewater Treatments Works is a fourth phase expansion of an existing works to treat an additional 200,000m3/day (~1,000,000PE) for the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Jonathan Leddy, Atkins Lead Design Engineer for the project, will present an overview of the project, highlighting some of the design and construction challenges faced by the design team. He will also reflect on lessons learned from his experience of international project work, presenting key points on how successful outcomes can be achieved.

Jonathan is a Chartered Engineer within the Infrastructure division of Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group. He has 10 years’ experience delivering projects, mainly within the water market, under Design and Build (D&B) arrangements. Jonathan's key experience is in the design of water retaining structures and also the design of marine structures, highway structures and durability assessments of concrete structures.
