About this event

Martin Willis of Ramboll will describe the recent £45 million transformation of Ashton Gate Stadium into a state-of-the-art 27,000 capacity venue. The project involved the demolition of the 86 year-old Wedlock Stand and the construction of the replacement South Stand.

The Dolman Stand was re-furbished and re-modelled and included an extension of the existing roof and removal of one of only two columns supporting the existing roof truss! The transformation was completed with the demolition of the Williams Stand and construction of its replacement the Lansdown Stand. This new stand aesthetically dominates the stadium and features conference facilities, hospitality lounges, corporate boxes and changing and warm up facilities for players.
