About this event

This event will have four presentations:
 
1. Josiah Mainwaring (WSP - Wrexham)
“How to create a safer water supply for the UK: An overview of the Run-to-Waste process and the design of a recent Run-to-Waste scheme, including how BIM was used in its delivery”
 
2. Dewi Wyn Cullen (YGC – Pwllheli)
Traeth Crugan as we move towards the next epoch?”
 
3. Jac Roberts (Civil Engineering Solutions – Dolgellau)
The application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for Coastal Monitoring”
 
4. Daniel Davies (Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK - Ruthin)
“What are the potential areas of investment that could be made by Jones Bros to improve the GPS plant efficiencies and performance in regard to drivers and equipment?”
 
A hot buffet will be served at 6.00 and the presentations will start at 6.30.
 

Speakers

Josiah Mainwaring (WSP - Wrexham)

Josiah graduated with an MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath and is a graduate member of the ICE. Upon graduating in 2011 Josiah began working for Opus in Wrexham as a Graduate Civil Engineer in their Bridges team and currently works for WSP in Wrexham as a Civil Engineer. Josiah has a signed off ICE Approved Training Agreement and intends to sit his CEng, MICE review in due course.

Dewi Wyn Cullen (YGC – Pwllheli)

Dewi has a BSc in Civil Engineering Studies from Glyndwr University and is a Technician Member of the ICE. Dewi is currently employed as a Senior Engineer with YGC’s Water and Environment Unit at their Pwllheli office.  Dewi is   keen to develop his career and is currently registered as a Trainee on the North Wales Councils ICE Company Approved Training Scheme working towards IEng, MICE Professional Qualification.

Jac Roberts (Civil Engineering Solutions – Dolgellau)

Jac has an BSc in Civil Engineering from Glyndwr University and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. Jac is currently employed as an Engineer with Civil Engineering Solutions in Dolgellau and is progressing his Career Appraisal submission towards IEng, MICE Professional Qualification.

Daniel Davies (Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK - Ruthin)

Dan has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Glyndwr University and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. Dan is currently employed as a Site Engineer with Jones Bros Ruthin and is a registered Trainee working towards I Eng, MICE Professional Qualification on the Jones Bros Civil Engineering ICE Company Approved Training Scheme.
