About this event

The Bangkok Orange Line metro project comprises approximately 4 km of twin bored tunnels, three stations boxes, three ventilation shafts and a cut and cover tunnel. Arup are working on the detailed design of this project for a Thai D&B contractor called Italian-Thai Developments.

This talk will cover several interesting technical aspects of the project, as well as an overview of life on an assignment in Thailand.


Paul Bailie

Paul is a senior geotechnical engineer at Arup with extensive design and construction experience in the UK, Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. He has worked on a number of major infrastructure projects including the Bangkok Orange Line, A14 Cambridgeshire, Thames Tideway and Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon.
