About this event

The CFA promote best practice in selection, design & installation of safety critical anchors in concrete and masonry.

This is driven within the industry utilising BS8539:2012, and this talk outlines the key roles & responsibilities of all stakeholder in the process, defined by the Code of Practice.

Speaker

John Muir is Technical Manager of the Construction Fixings Association.

He is a graduate civil engineer who worked for a large civil engineering contractor for 10 years, for a specialist structural repair contractor for 5 years and the next 25 years working for Hilti (G.B. Ltd). In his Hilti role he worked on the design and specification of anchors and other engineered products, from a field-based specification engineer through to managing the engineering team.
