Bloodhound - 1000mph in a car! Dorchester

About this event

The project’s aim is two-fold: inspire young people to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and break the current record (763mph) and push it to 1000mph – yes, in a car! The team was headed by Richard Noble - himself a previous record holder, and is now headed by Ian Warhurst, and the driver will be current world land speed record holder, RAF fighter pilot: Andy Green.

Alan Frener

Alan is a physicist and the senior Bloodhound Ambassador, having been with the project since the beginning. His Ambassador training was at Rolls Royce Filton. He has given presentations to primary schools, senior schools, grammar schools, The Princes Trust at Reading University, young offenders in prison, Café Scientifique, Probus, groups of Castrol prize winning employees from all around Europe, and attend over 100 different Bloodhound events.
