Bristol’s Floating Harbour tour, Bristol

About this event

Bristol has always had a close relationship with water and owes much of its success to living and working next to the tidal River Avon. The Floating Harbour represents the embodiment of Bristol’s ingenuity and engineering success.

Join us aboard The Flower of Bristol, where we will learn the history of the Harbour, how and why it was built, how it works, its evolution from industrial centre to architectural centrepiece as well some fascinating facts about some of its key landmarks!

The tour will be given by Patrick Goodey, Flood Risk Manager at Bristol City Council, with a second speaker to be confirmed.

This event is open to all, tickets are £6 each for ICE Members and £8 for non-members. Please note there are limited places so book early to avoid disappointment.

The tour will depart from Watershed Pontoon at 18:30 for 1hr. Please arrive promptly from 18:20 to enable a swift departure. A fully licensed bar is available on board.
