About this event

An event held in conjunction with SciBar and ICE (institute of Civil Engineers) will discuss various topics surrounding the Mersey Gateway Bridge. Speaker Colin Critchlow, Director of Deep Soil Mixing LTD, will discuss how new soil mixing techniques transform the quality of contaminated land. Additionally, lecturer and researcher at Liverpool John Moores university, Edward Saul will reflect on how technology has evolved over three consecutive centuries of bridge construction.

Speakers

Colin Critchlow

Director of Deep Soil Mixing Ltd, Colin Critchlow has over 50 years' experience in the construction and civil engineering industry. Colin and business partner Robert McGall established Deep Soil Mixing Ltd in 2012 and now have a successful company that has undertaken projects in the UK through to Africa.

Edward Saul

A Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, Edward Saul has extensive experience of the design of bridges, tunnels, and water retaining civil engineering structures.
