An update on Construction Design and Management (CDM) 2015.

About this event

The main topic "CDM promotes a healthy industry" applies to new construction and also to property & infrastructure maintenance, alterations, refurbishment and demolition. Delegates will gain an insight into experiences and priorities of CDM2015 to date, including the increasing focus on health as well as safety, together with opportunities for networking. Attendance will qualify for CPD, subject to the rules of professional bodies.

In response to rapidly increasing emphasis by industry and the HSE, this event will be focussed on the knowledge, techniques & equipment required to help prevent respiratory diseases continuing to cause premature death for literally thousands of past & present construction workers in Britain every year.

The event will include Bill Rawlinson with a technical exhibition of RPE including powered hoods, during the arrival/buffet period and at halfway break. Stephen Barnes will speak on the new BreatheFreely Campaign www.breathefreely.org.uk to help us recognise & control the risks, and Scott Ellis will conclude the event with a presentation on practical approaches to dust control on site.
