Stuart Summerhayes

Stuart Summerhayes of SYNERGY CMC Ltd, is a chartered civil engineer. He spent an early period in heavy civil engineering, contracting and a later extensive period in university education delivering construction related undergraduate and postgraduate courses and was MSc Construction Management scheme leader at the University of Glamorgan.

Stuart is a past president and fellow of the Association for Project Safety and is the author of the book, entitled 'CDM Regulations 2007 Procedures Manual', (Blackwell Publishing ISBN 978-1-405 1-4002-7) and its sister publication, "Desgin Risk Management" (Wiley-Blackwell ISBN 978-1-4051-3275-6). Currently, he is drafting an update book entitled, "CDM Regulations 2015 Procedures Manual", due for publication by Wiley next year in 2016.

As first, a planning supervisor and then a CDM co-ordinator under previous versions of the CDM Regulations he now fronts SYNERGY CMC Ltd, which continues to offer CDM co-ordination services to the construction industry.
