About this event

The latest version of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 came into effect on 6th April 2015.

After a period of 6 months implementation, ICE's Thames Valley Branch believes it will be very useful for members to be apprised of the changes from previous versions of the regulations. You can also find out what effect the latest changes are having on the industry.

Our speaker, Nick Williams is CDM / Health and Safety Consultant and works for Schal Safety Services. He is currently working with Aspire Defence Capital Works as Design Safety Advisor on the Army Rebasing programme. He was previously CDM Coordinator for ADCW on Project Allenby-Connaught, delivering £1.2 billion of buildings for the British Army.

He has over 25 years' experience in construction since 1992 and has been specifically involved in health and safety activities. Nick has gained valuable experience and knowledge in health, safety, environmental procedures, standards, legislation, and industry best practice working for AWE, Dstl, Royal Opera House and AECOM.

Nick was a member of the HSE Music and Entertainment Sector Working Group on Noise in Entertainment and contributor to HSG 260 Sound Solutions. He is a Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety (RMaPS), a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH), a Registered Occupational Safety & Health Consultant (OSHCR), Member of Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
