22nd Century travel, Cardiff

About this event

The need to travel continues with growing commerce, industry and increasing urbanisation. New and effective solutions are constantly being explored. Highway improvements continue around the road network in order to reduce congestion, improve reliable journey times and safety. Newport presents a particular challenge.

However people movement also includes cycling and walking with a continuing need for authorities to provide safe routes. Keeping the major road network in good repair requires innovative and technological solutions. The rail network experiences greater and more intensive use than previously has been the case. The need to constantly maintain and upgrade remains a priority. All these initiatives are aimed to provide a travel experience fit for the 22nd century.
