Collecting Point Cloud Data for BIM, Aberdeen

About this event

An increasing number of projects are now incorporating BIM practices across the project lifecycle. Whilst surveying has traditionally based itself in the realm of 2D data, clients are now seeing the benefit of 3D modelling and data capture methods are advancing as a result.

This presentation will discuss each of these methods including photogrammetry and static/dynamic LiDAR with a view to providing the end user of survey data with the knowledge to instruct the appropriate survey for the task in hand. Drones, robots and AI will feature as well as a brief note on what constitutes a point cloud.

Registration from 17.30 for a 18.00 start.
