Competitors must use their interpersonal skills as they present a civil engineering project at a mock public consultation meeting. They will need to win over the judges and audience as they deliver their presentation and face questions on how the project will affect a local community.
Four teams will participate in the regional heat, where they will choose a scenario, produce a consultation strategy and public information leaflet, and make a presentation. The winning team will receive a prize of £250 and progress to the semi-final.
Audience participation is encouraged in the competition; to support the teams please register your attendance through the online booking system.
