Recent Welsh Government targets for renewable energy include a target of 1 Gigawatt of locally owned energy. A significant part of this will be from community energy schemes, which are typically run by a not for profit organisation, and funded by a community share offer with surplus profits going to initiatives in the local area.
The talk will discuss community energy schemes giving examples of successful projects and discuss the main challenges that face them, and the also challenges faced by onshore wind turbines in general.
Cost for the event is FREE and intended for professional/educational purposes. Refreshments will be available (on a first come first served basis). This event is open to non-members. For more information and to book, please contact: Tracey Dunford, firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that Swansea University Bay campus operates a Pay & Display for parking at this campus. Please ensure you bring change.
