About this event

Presented by:

  • Chris Grey of AECOM, technical advisor to AutoLink Concessionaires (A19) Ltd
  • Andy Came, Operations Director of Concrete Repairs Ltd
  • Robert Thorniley-Walker, Structural & Civil Consultants Ltd

Many engineers now have little knowledge of structural defects in concrete.

Robert will explain how repair of concrete bridges and buildings became a major role for Engineers in the 1980; repairs would last only 5 years.

Andy will explain the theory of deterioration and modern products and techniques to restore and extend the lifespan of reinforced concrete.

Chris will provide feedback on achievements with a review of the current condition of our concrete structures, many of which now have decades of life.

The lecture should be of interest to all engineers and students.
