Professional Profiling, Liverpool

About this event

Perry is a Chartered Civil Engineer and works for Balfour Beatty as Head of Operational Excellence for Highways.

He volunteers as Chair of the Civil Engineering Industrial Liaison Committee University of Liverpool (where he is an Honorary Professor), Institution of Civil Engineers Mentor and industrial mentor within industry & academia.

Perry is a longstanding mentor and has helped many people to understand the process behind creating a strong professional profile.

Having worked with colleagues and colleges in the past to share this approach, the talk will provide insight to the power of networking (it isn’t a dirty word) and explain the five steps to creating something that helps celebrate your successes. It will cover some of the career steps that led to his approach and use current mentoring examples to highlight the areas you should focus on to stand out from the competition.

Attendees will be provided with a “toolkit” to the steps and some insight into LinkedIn and its use as a vehicle to enhance your CV and expand knowledge and reach.

Organised by ICE North West Graduates and Students.
