How to stay on top of your security.
How to stay on top of your security.

About this event

In September 2016, Yahoo admitted that 500 million customers' data was hacked in late 2014. This is only the tip of the iceberg, cyber threats are with us every day and are on the increase - yet many people refuse to believe it.

Although individuals and small businesses may not be directly targeted, there are many general attacks that will get you if you are not aware of what is out there and how to take the basic steps to protect yourself. Believe it or not, the scammers, hackers and identity thieves are on the perimeter of your network just ready to steal your money and privacy information. You need education as well as just using anti-virus products, particularly to avoid the modern curse of ransomware.

Our speaker, Mike Prewett, will present an overview of the threats that await you, identify some of the tricks that will lure you in, and provide help on how you can remain safe online.

This event is free of charge to members and guests.
