The civil engineering industry is embracing digital technologies to advance functionality and enable better ways of working. However, the same technology also introduces new vulnerabilities and it’s important that we reduce the harm that might arise if these vulnerabilities are exploited.
Steven Trippier, Group Chief Information Security Officer at Anglian Water, will present on the cyber security risks posed to the civil engineering industry and discuss methods for future-proofing networks against cyber-attack and key considerations when developing a long term strategy for cyber resilience.
This free lecture will be held in MAB 211 at Anglia Ruskin University, Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford, between 6.30 and 8.00pm. Refreshments will be available from 6pm. The presentation will be preceded by a brief ICE Essex Branch AGM.
