After completing his BA at the University of Leicester and a Post-graduate Diploma in Field Archaeology at the University of Oxford, Dr. Kevin Lane undertook his MPhil and PhD in Archaeology at the University of Cambridge finishing in 2006. Between 2007 and 2009 he was a Leverhulme Fellow at the University of Manchester.

Since 2009 he has been an associate investigator at the Universities of East Anglia, Manchester and lately Buenos Aires. He was a Humboldt Fellow at the Free University of Berlin (2011-2012). Interested in historical archaeology, ancient hydraulic technology and the impact of contact and colonization Dr. Lane has worked in such diverse places as the Arab Emirates, Argentina, Borneo, Colombia, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Israel, Italy and Spain.
