About this event

United Utilities are upgrading their largest and oldest treatment works in North-west Manchester, which serves a population equivalent of over 1 million people. As part of the £140m scheme, Laing O’Rourke, supported by the Mott MacDonald Arcadis JV, are providing civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulic and other specialist services as part of the Design and Build contract.

The presentation will focus on the key aspects of the project, some notable designs and geotechnical challenges, solutions and some learning for the future.
