About this event

Visit to the Derwent and Ladybower Dams

The Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs are well known within the UK and are a major attraction for tourists, walkers, cyclists etc. They supply drinking water to the cities of Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and were also famously used to train the ‘Dambusters’. This is a rare opportunity to visit the Derwent and Ladybower Dams.

Please book online as places are limited. Meet at the Fairholmes visitor centre at 5pm where the tour of Derwent Dam will start, followed by a short drive to Ladybower Dam. Following completion of the tour, attendees are invited to meet in the local pub for a drink.

Please note that the tour involves some walking up inclines and stairs.

Protective equipment will also be required including, hard hat, reflective jacket/vest, supportive boots, gloves and ear protection. If you require any protective equipment please make this clear in your booking.

Please note, although places are limited, the organiser is running a reserve list. If you find you are unable to book a place via the ‘Book now’ button above, please email rob.ramshaw@aecom.com to be added to this list.
