Come along to the ICE London’s monthly Graduates and Students meeting to find out more about the committee and how you can get involved shaping the ICE’s agenda in London.
With wide ranging events including site visits, evening seminars, training courses, schools’ outreach events, socials, pre-review training and debates, the ICE’s Graduates and Students committee seeks to support and develop graduate and student members. Any graduate and student member is welcome to attend and get as involved as much or as little as they like.
Engineering industries have long suffered from particularly low diversity levels. Women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic along with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender groups are underrepresented in civil engineering companies. It’s a topic that is talked about a lot, but what is the industry actually doing to redress the balance? This month we are joined by Claire Rose, who is member of the ICE Diversity and Inclusivity Taskforce, London and South East. This team have been tasked with bringing about a step change in the diversity of ICE membership. Claire will discuss what the taskforce have already done as well as exploring what else there is to be done.
