About this event

Remotely Piloted Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones are the latest access platform for collecting information from extremely challenging environments. Used correctly they can often help the engineer complete inspections and surveys with:

  • Reduced cost.
  • Reduced risk.
  • Less disruption.
  • Less intrusion and,
  • More quickly than traditional methods.

However, the use of this emerging technology comes with its own set of challenges. This seminar by Ocuair will let you know more about how you can use drones effectively, safely and within the Civilian Aviation Authority's guidelines.

Ocuair is an established commercial drone operator and our goal is to deliver a comprehensive educational session on the current legislation and capabilities of the commercially available drones in the UK. The seminar will focus on:

  • The history of the technology in the commercial sector,
  • The UK legislative environment and licensing requirements,
  • The effective practical applications of the technology, (Where possible) A flight demonstration and;
  • An extensive Q&A session.

You have the ability to shape the one-hour seminar by submitting your questions before. So if you have a particular need or a challenging problem you think drones might be able to help you with then please let us know and we will come prepared.

Presentation by: Richard Gill, Operations Director of Ocuair Ltd.
