About this event

The Symposium is being arranged through the MaRIUS project, part of the NERC UK Drought and Water Scarcity programme. It focuses on drought science and management of drought risk, both in the UK and globally. Some of the topics to be covered are:

  • The impact of droughts on the water quality of the River Thames
  • Transboundary rivers and adaptation to climate extremes in North America & transboundary drought adaptation.
  • UK water resource management planning & drought risk.
  • Water law and drought in Australia.

The Symposium is subsidised and so has a very low price of either £25 for the conference incl. lunch and a drinks reception; or £35 for conference, lunch, drinks reception and dinner!
