About this event

Located in the heart of the midlands, this Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) will deliver 6 million square feet of rail and road served warehousing on 250 acres of land. Planned works include major improvements to M1 Junction 24, a new bypass for the village of Kegworth and the provision of a new direct rail link to the existing Castle Donington Branch freight line.

BWB Consulting have had extensive involvement with the project from an early stage, providing engineering advice on transportation, highways, flooding and playing a key role throughout the Development Consent Order (DCO) application and examination process.

Simon Hilditch, of BWB, will provide an overview of the project, highlighting some of the key challenges faced and further detailing the DCO process (required under the Planning Act 2008 to obtain permission for NSIP's) and the role of the Planning Inspectorate
