The Emerging Engineers Award promotes and rewards outstanding communication of civil engineering ideas and research.
It offers all ICE student, graduate and trainee technician members the opportunity to submit a paper on any civil engineering related topic in the format of research, a report or an essay.
Earlier in the year, heats were held in Kent & East Sussex and South Branch. Now, the winners from those heats are going head to head and the successful individual here will have their paper put forward for consideration in the national final which will take place in London in September. The overall winner will receive a £1,500 cash prize and the Institution Medal, presented at the ICE Annual Awards Ceremony. In addition the paper will be considered for publication and promotion.
