You are invited to come, see and interact with the world of engineering, understanding how our complex capital works.

Hear about leading Infrastructure projects happening in London right now; get hands-on with creative activities, explore ICE's Invisible Superhero Exhibition, listen to live jazz, take a tour of our magnificent Grade II listed Edwardian Building- One Great George Street and much more.

Our line-up of Café 200 talks:

  • The Five Billion Pound Super Sewer – Tideway update by CEO Andy Mitchell
  • Completing the Elizabeth Line – Crossrail update by Operations Director Howard Smith
  • Using Satellites to monitor infrastructure and the resilience of cities by Sakthy Selvakumaran, PhD Researcher at University of Cambridge
  • Proposing a Bakerloo Line Extension - Tim Cutts and Claudette Forbes from the London Boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham

Explore Engineering in the Great Hall
Feature hands-on activities, virtual reality, technology demonstrations, and a space to chat and mingle in the social hub of the event. Join in the activities and talk engineering and infrastructure with: London Transport Museum, Jacobs Engineering, WSP, Engineers without Borders, Thameslink Programme, Tideway, Port of London Authority, Whitby Wood, Atkins, The Fire Surgery and Matthew Hubble – civil engineer and fashion designer.

Guided Building Tours
Enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Grade II Listed Edwardian building, with rich neo-Palladian and Baroque interior. The ICE Headquarters has also featured in a number of films such as Wonder Woman, Bridget Jones - Edge of Reason, Gandhi, Mr Bean and In the Loop, plus various TV series including: several episodes of Spooks, Foyles War, In Deep, Between the Lines and Kavanagh QC.

Invisible Superheroes Exhibition
With extended opening hours until 9.30pm, the ICE 200 exhibition shows the sometimes-overlooked everyday engineering superheroes that bring you bridges, tunnels, flood defenses, power and energy. Take a tour of a Crossrail tunnel in a virtual reality headset, have a go at Lego building or explore different engineering projects in the immersive media cube.

Live Jazz Music
Stephen Morallee will host an evening of live music covering an array of Jazz from eight amazing vocalists and talented three piece band.
