Engineering Plymouth – screening of ICE SW’s film, Plymouth

About this event

Join us at the screening of Engineering Plymouth, a film commissioned by ICE South West as part of ICE 200, to celebrate how civil engineers have helped to shape Plymouth and transform the way we live.

Engineering Plymouth has been an enormous undertaking, led by ICE South West with 14 regional partners and over 30 contributing organisations. This monumental production brings 500 years of engravings and archive photography to life following Plymouth’s journey through time before focusing on its future and the people tasked with its current civil engineering projects, including the new £60million state-of-the-art Mayflower Water Treatment Works.

Using present day aerial drone, hyper-lapse and 360 degree action cinematography, the final film showcases Plymouth and it’s heritage to stunning effect.

There will be a private screening and panel discussion with those involved in the making of the film for ICE members from 7-8pm, and a public screening from 8-9pm.
