About this event

The seminar will be chaired by Prof David Potts of Imperial College London when the following will be discussed:

  • Controlled lateral buckling of offshore pipelines resting on soft seabed soils
  • Real-time seismic crisis management framework for motorway systems
  • Performance based design of tied back steel sheet pile walls under seismic actions
  • Infrastructure embankments: long-term interaction with atmospheric conditions
  • Stabilisation of excavated slopes with piles: considerations for materials with distinct strain softening behaviour
  • High Speed 2: geotechnical and commercial challenges for a resilient railway
