Intelligent Infrastructure – experience on Network Rail Western Route, Poole

About this event

The UK rail network has seen an expansion of wayside monitoring of infrastructure with over 60,000 assets now monitored nationally through various configurations. This fixed monitoring supplements data collected from an established fleet of specific measurement trains and vehicles.

The presentation explores the lessons learned in managing the business processes associated with rapid expansion of infrastructure monitoring in the western route, using field examples to illustrate success and improvements.

Opportunities for CP6 are then explored, starting with the expansion of data from new train fleets and how we make intelligent use of the information contained within the data streams.
