Dr Eng Bassem Soumaya

Bassem is a geotechnical engineer with 20 years of experience, involved in the design and delivery of geotechnical works for complex infrastructure projects (tunnels, highways, and railways).

Bassem has substantial experience with the design and construction of mega projects including the Doha Metro, Elefsina-Patras motorway in Greece, Eemshaven Power Station in Holland and the Moorburg Power Station in Hamburg. He has expert knowledge in the support systems and dewatering of deep excavations in urban areas.

He has a Bachelor and Master in Civil Engineering, specialisation in Geotechnics and Doctorate (PhD) in Geotechnics.
