The Bath City Riverside Enterprise Area includes 98Ha of land following the line of the River Avon through the city, some 36 hectares of which is developable brownfield land.It has been recognised as a key zone for growth in the city by the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership which has committed significant investment to help the city's ambitions for the development to be realised.
Simon Martin, Programme Director for the Bath Enterprise Zone/Area, will be speaking about the Bath City Riverside Enterprise Area Masterplan which demonstrates how future developments will bring the river corridor to life.
Simon is a chartered Civil Engineer with 20 years' experience gained in the construction sector within contracting and design consultancy businesses. His primary experience has been gained on urban regeneration and town centre renewal projects.
Before joining B&NES Council in 2009, he was a Director of multi-disciplinary consultants WYG with responsibility for the design and execution of regeneration projects throughout the UK.
He joined the Council in 2009 to deliver major projects within the city including Southgate, Bath Spa Station, the Council's public realm programme and Bath Riverside. Simon is now the Council's programme director for Bath Enterprise Zone and lead officer for Bath Quays.
