About this event

Hannah Burgess, Flood Risk Manager at Staffordshire County Council and a Past Chair of the CIWEM Rivers and Coastal Group, will look at how recent flood events have brought into focus the severe consequences of flooding to communities and local economies and the need to reassess traditional approaches to flood risk management.

Hannah will identify the challenges facing flood risk management nationally and set out how Staffordshire County Council are taking forward the Lead Local Flood Authority role in that context.
