About this event

The Wales Flooding Conference will be kindly sponsored by Atkins, MWH and Waterco.

It is supported by Natural Resources Wales, the Welsh Government and Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.

Themed sessions will be on:

  • Policy
  • Managing Catchments
  • Flood Impacts and Modelling
  • Flood Impacts and Green Infrastructure

Speakers will be representing views and experiences from the Welsh Government, Natural Resources Wales, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Welsh Local Government Association, the Environment Agency, community associations, academia and consultants.

Jean Venables, Past President of ICE will chair the first session and give the concluding remarks.

A poster exhibition will run throughout the day during the breaks, when 6 young people will present their ideas about aspects of flooding, illustrated by posters that they have designed.

A prize will be awarded to the winner plus an engraved trophy commemorating the event.
