Graduates and Students: Seismic design of building structures – our situation, Hong Kong, online

About this event

Please note that this webinar will be held on 9 November 2021 from 19:00 – 20:30 HK time.

Traditionally, building design in Hong Kong is primarily focusing on the gravity and wind effects. Recent researches have proven that the associated risk from unexpected seismic attacks should not be underestimated. This webinar aims at providing audiences with an overview of the topic. From basic concepts and classical problems, to local specific issues and international practice. Audiences with any level of experience are expected to benefit from this webinar.

- Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, and priority will be given to ICE graduate and student members.
- Only successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail.
- Attendance certificates will be provided for this event only if attendees attend the whole event.
- Applicants with no-show records will be given lower priority in future G&S events.
