Central Kowloon Route (CKR)
The Central Kowloon Route (CKR) is a 4.7km long dual 3-lane trunk road connecting the West Kowloon reclamation and the proposed Kai Tak Development. It targets to relieve traffic congestion on the major east-west roads across Central Kowloon. The journey time between West Kowloon and Kowloon Bay would be shortened drastically by 25 minutes, taking only around 5 minutes with the completion of CKR.
Contract No. HY/2014/07 Central Kowloon Route – Kai Tak West mainly includes the construction of tunnels under the seabed of Kowloon Bay and at Ma Tau Kok, in addition to the depressed roads and underpass at Kai Tak Development. During the visit to CKR, participants will set foot on the tunnels and roads in the Ma Tau Kok and Kai Tak Area to explore the construction technologies applied in the works.
Registration Deadline: 26 July 2019 (Friday)
