Glasgow SMART Canals – SMART engineering for adverse weather management, Dundee

About this event

The Tayside and Fife Branch are delighted to welcome Peter Robinson, Head of Engineering for Scottish Canals, to Dundee to present on a topic connecting with the ICE’s headline theme for 2019 – WATER.

The Glasgow SMART Canal system will help make water management of the canal system autonomous in response to extreme rainfall forecasting - enabling surface water management from new developments in the north of Glasgow. Peter has been involved in this particular project area for 10 years.

Representing Scottish Canals – Peter will also hope to discuss other areas of the connected Scottish Canal system – including the Falkirk Wheel and Neptune’s Staircase amongst others.

5.45pm for a 6.15pm start.
