About this event

The new EfW facility under construction will process some 190,000 tonnes of residual waste per year – the waste left over after recycling – and generate some 14.5 MW of electricity for export to the national grid.

The key elements of the EfW plant and the process will be described – from waste reception and handling, the combustion grate and energy recovery through the boiler, the power generation system, air pollution control measures, and the management of water and waste products.
